Darlington Upgrade Bridge 11

Project Overview: 

  • Valued at $754.5 million, the Darlington Upgrade Project is a key part of Adelaide’s North-South Corridor, enhancing around 3.3 kilometres of Main South Road with a non-stop motorway from the Southern Expressway to north of Tonsley Boulevard, including underpasses beneath key intersections and roads.
  • The project introduces a grade-separated intersection at Main South Road/Ayliffes Road/Shepherds Hill Road, surface roads along the motorway for local access, and a full free-flow interchange at the Southern Expressway/Main South Road, ensuring direct connectivity with the new motorway.

Our Project Involvement: 

  • Form, Reo & Pour 2 x large Abutment headstocks (127.45m & 133.5m in length). 
  • Detailed excavation and pile break back. 
  • Supply and erection of formwork and scaffold for integral beams, concrete decks, capping beams, and barriers. 
  • Installation of precast concrete elements.
