The New Clarence Correction Centre in Lavadia, 12.5km southeast of Grafton, houses up to 1,700 inmates with advanced security and rehabilitation programs aimed at reducing reoffending, injecting about $560m into the local economy over 20 years.
The project stimulates long-term economic growth through local procurement and addresses NSW’s critical need for more correctional facilities.
